<p>A rotary cabinet with a self-latching and positioning rotor (30) is provided with an improved latch mechanism. The latch is operated by a sliding hand actuator (66) connected by links (163, 164) and levers (161, 170) to a latch member (180). To operate, the actuator (66) is lifted to release the rotor (30). An air cylinder (165) retards the return of the actuator (66) and latch member (180) to the latch position. While the rotor (30) is released, the rotor (30) is rotated to a desired position. The latch returns to the latched position and restrains the rotor (30). Materials can be stored in or retrieved from the shelves on the rotor (30).</p> |
