A chain mail glove is made from interlinked metal rings, with a fastening strap (2) at the wrist or an extended cuff. The strap is also of chain mail and comprises a first section (2') which is fastened to the edge of the glove at the wrist and extends in the same direction as the glove mail, and a second section (2'') which projects from the glove and has a fastener (10) on its free end. The first section of the strap can be attached directly to the edge of the glove, forming a simple continuation of its surface, or the glove edge can be pleated at the wrist before the strap is attached. A variant of the glove with an extended cuff has an additional wrist strap and over-moulded plastic strips.
