PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the information recording device in which gradation recording and binary recording attended with edge detection are attained and the configuration is simplified without deteriorating the recording quality. SOLUTION: In the case of gradation recording, a gradation recording LUT used to convert gradation data St in 4-bit including gradation information for each picture element into timing data Stt for gradation recording is stored in a RAM 41 so as to generate the timing data Stt for gradation recording, the data are parallel/serial-converted and the converted data are used to drive a laser diode 23. On the other hand, in the case of binary recording attended with edge detection, a binary recording LUT used to obtain timing data Stt for binary recording based on 1-bit binary data S2 including binary information of each dot, right edge data Sr, left edge data Sl, and clock data Sc is stored in the RAM 41 so as to generate the timing data Stt for binary recording, the data are parallel/serial-converted and the converted data are used to drive the laser diode 23. |
