PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain durability to friction with a mouse even though usage for a long time and to keep satisfactory operating state while securing the rotation followup ability of a ball by providing a sliding layer, of which the thickness is a specified value, constituted by distributedly coupling specified powdery objects with a coupling agent on a surface in contact with the ball. SOLUTION: The sliding layer having 0.4-1000μm thickness constituted by distributedly coupling the powdery objects containing more than 60wt.% fine powder, of which the Moh's hardness is more than 5, with the coupling agent is provided on the surface of the mouse in contact with the ball. It is preferable for this powdery object that the average particle diameter is from 0.2μm to 100μm and it is further preferable that diameter is from 2μm to 80μm. It is further preferable the Moh's hardness is more than 7. Moreover, it is suitable for the powdery object that any one kind of chromium oxide, aluminum oxide, silica gel silicon carbide is contained at least. Especially, in the case of using aluminum oxide for the powdery object, it is desirable that the average particle diameter is from 2μm to 80μm.
