PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to manufacture a phase difference film which can be made uniform in phase difference along the width direction of a drawn film even when a drawing section is made short and has superior visual characterics, by increasing the thickness of the film to be drawn from both the ends to the center, as to a method for manufacturing the phase difference film by drawing a resin film longitudinally and axially. SOLUTION: As for the method for manufacturing the phase difference film by drawing the resin film longitudinally and axially, the thickness of the resin film is increased from both the ends to the center. As this manufacturing method, there is, for example, a solvent casting method. When the solvent casting method is employed, a film can easily be formed by a comma coater. The sectional shape of this film is different with the specifications of the phase difference film and the kind of a resin film in use, and set by resin films according to drawing temperature, a drawing rate, the fusion viscosity of resin, etc. |
