PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a desired channel from many channels of television broadcast programs. SOLUTION: A 1st channel selection signal generating circuit 3 instructs sequential selection of channels receptible by an electronic tuner 1, a 2nd channel selection signal generating circuit 4 instructs selection of a specific channel and a channel selection signal changeover circuit 2 selects either of outputs and provides an output of the selected output to the electronic tuner 1. A quantization circuit 6 converts an output of the electronic tuner 1 into a digital signal, a scanning line conversion circuit 7 provides an output, of a signal from which horizontal scanning lines are interleaved and the resulting signal is stored in a texture memory 8 as a small screen for each channel. A graphics engine 9 applies 3-dimension image processing to image data read from the texture memory 8 and the result is stored in a video memory 10. A video signal selection circuit 11 selects a video signal from the electronic tuner 1 or a video signal read from the video memory 10 and provides an output of the selected video signal to a display device 12. |
