PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen input device with which operability is improved. SOLUTION: A character string converting method storage part 411 stores plural patterns of character strings and converting procedures corresponding to the respective patterns. A character string display part 405 displays the character strings in an input character string storage part 402 inside a prescribed display area. When the operating instruction of conversion is detected at an input part 401, an input character string discriminating part 412 discriminates which pattern the contents on the display means of the character string display part 405 correspond to and lets a character string converting part 404 perform conversion according to this converting procedure corresponding to the discriminated pattern. |
