PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the radio calling system in which a visually handicapped person easily recognizes the content of a message by outputting the message as a voice so as to realize an emergent contact means valid to the visually handicapped person. SOLUTION: A voice coder 32 is provided to a transmitter side central station 3, a voice decoder 61 decoding a code corresponding to the coding by the voice coder 32 is provided to a receiver side radio calling receiver 5. When a called number and a voice message are given from a subscriber telephone set 1 to the central station 3, the voice coder 32 of the central station 3 applies voice coding to the voice by a specific method and sends the coded signal to a base station 4, from which the coded message is sent to a destination of the called number, the radio calling receiver 5 of the called number receives the coded message, the voice decoder decodes the message corresponding to the coding and provides an output of the message as a voice. |
