PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the whole route of a vehicle from the present position to a destination via a guide route by transmitting the present position data of own vehicle on a specific route network to be an object of providing traffic information to a base station. SOLUTION: A navigation unit 1 decides whether the present position and destination of own vehicle are existed on a predetermined road network of ATIC object or not. If they are not present on the specific road network, the optimum local route for connecting the present position or destination to the specific network is searched, and the connecting point to the specific network is set as the temporary present position or temporary destination. In addition to the recommended route on the specific network obtained based on these position data, the optimum local route for connecting the searched present position of the own vehicle to the temporary present position or the optimum local route for connecting the destination to the temporarily destination is displayed on the route map projected on a screen. |
