PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an operation error that has no practical problem and also to increase the operation speed by giving the initial value to every section of aθoperation area to calculate theρvalue for formation of a Hough function curve and performing the simultaneous and parallel operations at the individual recurrence operation parts to decide the p value of the Hough function curve part of every section. SOLUTION: The given initial value (x, y) is directly inputted to a counterclockwise recurrence operation part 3a, and the complement of 2 of (x) is produced and the initial value (y, -x) is given to a clockwise recurrence operation part 3b. Then a switch 30 is switched toward the operation side andρ1.1 ,ρ1.2 ,ρ2.1 andρ2.2 are generated in parallel to each other by the clock pulse input. The clock pulse is supplied to a frequency accumulation addition part 35 of aθ-ρmemory, and +1 is given to the address contents. Then aθoperation area is divided into four sections to perform a 4-element parallel operation. Therefore, the cumulative error of the end value is reduced in every section of theθoperation area despite application of a recurrence formula. Thus, no practical problem is caused.
