PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a set error and an error magnetic field by assembling a vacuum vessel so as to lessen the axis dislocation and the inclination components of the vacuum vessel proportional to the primary function of a trigonometric function from the output of a magnetic field detector, installed in a toroidal direction, for detecting the line of the magnetic force of a toroidal magnetic field and the dislocation of the toroidal direction of the vacuum vessel. SOLUTION: In the vacuum vessel, a plurality of magnetic fluxes divided in the toroidal direction are disposed as a magnetic sensor. For instance, when the position of a toroidal angleψ=0 is made reference (reference sensor 5), output of the sensor 5 becomes zero. A sensor 6 except for the position of the sensor 5 has output, and magnetic data are output at each position. The single part of each magnetic sensor is line-connected 7 along the vacuum vessel, and a difference between the magnetic fluxes of a reference position and a measuring position is output. After the set position of the vacuum vessel is adjusted on the basis of magnetic field measurement, a poloidal magnetic field coil is energized to detect an error magnetic field component, and a poloidal magnetic field coil set position is adjusted so that an error magnetic field is eliminated to perform assembling work.
