PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate nutritional balance and to perform eating habits guidance by managing the number of items of foods taken in for each food group through simple input operations in order to equally take in physically required nutrients. SOLUTION: This eating habits supporting device 1 is composed of a food group report control means for simultaneously displaying the groups of foods to be equally taken in, input means 4 for inputting the excess/lack information of number of taken-in items concerning the number of items displayed by a proper item number report control means 3, and discriminating means 5 for discriminating the nutritional balance and reporting the result to a reporting means 6. Corresponding to the information concerning the number of taken-in food items in the respective popular and simple food groups, the nutritional balance is discriminated, the intake of lacked food groups is promoted and the intake of excessive food groups is suppressed by reporting the information of guidance. Thus, nutritionally balanced diet can be supported.
