PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an energy saving operation in which power supply to other sections than required for a FAX operation is completely stopped in the case that the FAX operation only is conducted in the digital composite machine having a system controller (SCU) conducting operation control of a copying machine and a FAX controller (FCU) conducting FAX operation control. SOLUTION: With a backup SW704 closed, transmission reception operation of an FCU 506 is finished, and when a 1st DC power supply 651 is interrupted, an LED 705 denoting the energy saving state is lighted. At this point of time, an operation section 400 lights up only the LED 705. Since a 2nd DC power supply 652 is supplied, the transmission reception operation is conducted as usual and when any reception file is in existence, the power supply by the 1st DC section 651 is started to activate copying machine sections 31, 501, 502, 701 so as to provide an output of the reception file. |
