PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the recording/reproducing operation in the high recording density even through the ambient temperature is changed, by a preventing the generation of wrap of a magnetic recording medium due to the temperature change or reducing the amount of warp. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the magnetic recording medium using a non-magnetic disk-like substrate, a spindle hub or spindle, a spindle motor and a clamp jig for clamping the the magnetic recording medium to the spindle motor. In the case the difference between the coefficient of thermal expansion of the disk-like substrate and that of the spindle hub or spindle is >=1×10<-6> /K in the temperature range of -10 deg.C to 40 deg.C, this difference in thermal expansion coefficients is compensated by adjusting the clamp jig.
