PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retard the abnormal corrosion of a current collector on the oxidizing agent electrode side by specifying a member which is exposed to the atmosphere containing oxygen during the operation and whose surface is wet with fused electrolyte in a fused carbonate fuel cell. SOLUTION: At least one of the members which are exposed to the atmosphere containing oxygen during the operation and whose surfaces are wet with a fused electrolyte is made of stainless steel whose chromium content is 23wt.% or less. As the electrolyte of an electrolyte matrix 1, a mixed fused carbonate in which 60-75 molar percent lithium carbonate is contained and 50 or more molar percent carbonate other than lithium carbonate is sodium carbonate is used. The corrosion of the member which is exposed to the atmosphere containing oxygen and whose surface is wet with an electrolyte is prevented, and performance is enhanced. |
