PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element excellent in parcticalness and to make possible easily manufacturing even a large areal body, etc., by providing a drawing formed oriented film on a transparent drawn film with a small phase difference due to refringence. SOLUTION: An optical film 1 is liquid crystal orienting film having the drawing formed printed film 12 on the transparent prolonged film 11 with the small page difference due to the refringence. Further, the optical element is constituted so as to be provided with a liquid crystal polymer oriented layer 2 on the oriented film 12 of the optical film 1. Such an optical film is manufactured by coating an oriented film modified layer made in a liquid state such as a solution by a solvent and a molten liquid, etc., on the transparent film with the small difference of the refinance occurring due to e.g. the prolongation, forming a composite film and prolongation processing the composite film, etc. Then, this transparent film functions as the support layer of the oriented degeneration film, making possible thinning the formed oriented film and becoming the drawing film by drawing processing. |
