A railway station platform edge is made of precast concrete parts arranged next to each other, secured against sliding sideways and supported on punctual, spaced apart stays. The precast concrete parts may be provided with an undercut at the outer edge of the platforms, as well as with recesses for ducts and draining channels. The platform can have any height; one or several parallel recesses for ducts may be arranged, or cable ducts and passages may be integrated for laying cables and sewage connections.
