<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform convergence adjustment of a projection image in a projection image display device using plural sheets of liquid crystal panels. SOLUTION: An image display pixel part usually image displaying and a redundant pixel part are provided on the pixel part of the liquid crystal panel, and the vertical scan control circuits 16R, 16G, 16B and the horizontal scan control circuits 17R, 17G, 17B of the liquid crystal panels 11R, 11G, 11B for red color, green color, blue color are controlled, and the timing of generated control signals are moved, and image display positions on the liquid crystal panels 11R, 11G, 11B of respective colors are moved to the pixel part containing the redundant pixel part in the vertical scanning direction and the horizontal scanning direction to be displayed. Thus, the convergence adjustment is performed without mechanically moving the positions of the liquid crystal panels.</p> |
