PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in image quality by recording information relating to image processing onto a recording medium so as to attain the image processing suitable for a type of an original image. SOLUTION: An image processing section 41 of a processing section control section 4 receives an original image read by an image read section 31 of an original scanning section 3. A code read section 42 receives image information for a prescribed area in the original image and discriminates whether or not the information is information relating to the image processing. The image processing section 41 uses the information relating to the image processing added to the original to decide how to conduct image processing and the decided image processing is applied to an image signal of the original. A memory synthesis section 43 converts the image relating to the image processing coded by a code generating section 44 into image data and the data are synthesized with the original image data subject to image processing by the image processing section 41 by using a built-in buffer. A printer section 5 forms an image onto recording paper according to the image data obtained by the processing control section 4.
