APPARATUS OF COMPENSATING POSITION ON SCREEN DISPLAY

An apparatus for compensating a position of an OSD unit is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a synchronizing/deflecting circuit(24) for discriminating a synchronizing signal from a video signal and providing a first synchronizing signal according to the discriminated synchronizing signal in case that the video signal is inputted, and generating a second synchronizing signal itself in case that the video signal is not inputted; a delay unit(26) for delaying the synchronizing signal from the synchronizing/deflecting circuit(24) during a predetermined time; a switch(SW) for selectively providing the synchronizing signal from the synchronizing/deflecting circuit(24) or the synchronizing signal from the delay unit(26); a switching controller(28) for providing a control signal of the switch(SW) using the first and the second synchronizing signals; and the OSD unit for receiving the synchronizing signal from the switch, generating an OSD signal, and for synchronizing the OSD signal to the received synchronizing signal.
