COMPLETE SET OF OPTICAL QUARTZ FILTERS

The quartz filters are used in the measurement engineering and metrology for testing, calibration, setting and checking the measuring devices. They are designed for operation with spectophotometers in the visible and the UV spectral zone. They ensure comprehensive evaluation of the methological characteristics of the spetrophotometers covering the whole photometric scale. The set consists of a group of filters (1) each of which is mounted in a metal holder (2) and fitted in separate seats (3) closed in a metal container (4). Each filter lies on a foam rubber pad pressed by a supporting spring and protected by a dust protection plate, the metal parts having anticorrosion coating. The quartz plates are of molten quartz having an active surface on which metal coating (5) of tantalum is applied. Planeness up to 5 Newton's rings is achieved with a deviation of the plane-parallel position up to 0.01 mm and homogeneity of the transmission up to 2% is achieved.
