PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and device, which transmit bipolar waves by a monopolar driving, and an ultrasonic image pickup device. SOLUTION: In the wave transmitting device having a plurality of wave generators 11-1n forming an array 10 and driving means 20 and 30 for driving the wave generators, the driving means 20 and 30 are constituted so that the odd-numbered wave generators are operated in the first direction in the array 10 and the even-numbered wave generators are operated in the second direction, which is reverse to the first direction, alternately in time. |
