<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective transposition system which can simultaneously operate against many bytes of data by transposing the data with an optional buffer by means of a specific interleave technique. SOLUTION: A horizontal sampling buffer 20 having 8-byte width and N-line length is used for acceptance of 8 lines of image data given from a source image. When a horizontal filter 25 is applied to the transposed data stored in the buffer 20, the filtering result is stored in an intermediate buffer 23 having 8-byte width and M-line length (M = length of a line included in a destination image). The data stored in the buffer 23 are transposed again into a 1st or 2nd vertical sampling buffer 21 or 22. A controller 24 points a buffer that receives the current data from the buffer 23. A vertical filter 26 is applied to the data stored in the buffers 21 and 22, and 8 bytes are taken out of relative lines of both buffers 21 and 22 respectively.</p> |
