PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent surface heater or an electromagnetic wave shield capable of driving at low voltage, with high surface temperature distribution uniformity, high environment resistance stability durable to pollutants, and high reliabihty. SOLUTION: In a transparent surface heater 1 or an electromagnetic wave shield using a transparent conductive film 3 formed on at least one main surface of a transparent substrate 2 as a heating surface or an electric wave receiving surface and having a pair of electrodes 5 for passing electricity to the transparent conductive film 3 or earthing, the transparent conductive film 3 has a prescribed pattern, forms the heating surface or the electric wave receiving surface, and a corrosion resistant layer 8 is formed in at least the cross section and/or part or the whole of the circumferential end part of the transparent conductive film 3. |
