PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the quality of a copied image accurate and constant regardless of the fluctuation of the various kinds of processing conditions. SOLUTION: A printed image formed on a photographic paper by exposing and developing a negative image is positioned at a photometry position and the photometry thereof is executed. Then, printed image data is fetched (170-176). Next, negative image data and exposure data corresponding to the printed image whose photometry is executed are fetched and relation between negative density and printing density when a printer processor is set in a standard state is fetched. Then, the average density of the printed image (ideal printed image) when the printer processor is set in the standard state is arithmetically operated based on the fetched various kind of information (178-188). Then, difference (z) is obtained by comparing the average density of the printed image and that of the ideal printed image. Besides, the value of exposure correction quantityΔE is arithmetically operated based on the difference (z) (190-194).
