PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a deviation in a position where an image is formed with data imprinting light, caused by the deviation in the position of an image forming optical system by setting the image forming magnification of the image forming optical system of a data imprinting device within the range of a specific value. SOLUTION: The data imprinting device is provided with a light emitting means 21 arranged to place plural light emitting points side by side and an image forming lens 22 for forming the image on a film surface with light from the light emitting means 21. This means 21 controls the emission of the light at each light emitting point, in synchronization of the traveling of a film, to imprint data on the film surface and the image forming lens 22 is set so that its image forming magnification m satisfies 0.6<|m|<1.5.
