The system includes two distinct components, top (1) and bottom (2), secured together on the body of the protected person using a harness. Each of the two components comprises a number of inflatable spheres connected to a common trigger device. The spheres are made of a light and resistant material. The trigger device controls a number of liquid gas filled cartridges. The gas release inside the spheres can be triggered by a sudden acceleration, manually or by remote control, by water presence or high temperature. Once inflated the spheres surround the body in a protective cocoon.
