PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having high discharge capacity. SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery using a carbon laminated body as a negative electrode active material, the carbon laminated body, having a 0.350 to 0.400nm spacing d002 of carbon network plane, 0.10 or more ratio (H/C) of a hydrogen atom relating to a carbon atom and 200m<2> /g or more specific surface area, is used. This carbon laminated body is obtained, after inserting a carbon source to saponite or montmorillonite which is a layered clay mineral, to be heat treated and polymerized, next via a process of a carbonization at 500 to 1200 deg.C. |
