PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct facsimile communication through a public line network efficiently by allowing the facsimile equipment to be used for one terminal equipment on a communication network such as a LAN. SOLUTION: A communication network such as a LAN is configured by connecting a plurality of terminal equipments respectively to one coaxial cable 7. The facsimile equipment 6 is provided on the network. The facsimile equipment 6 is provided with a network interface 28, and the interface 28 is used to act the facsimile equipment 6 like one terminal equipment on the network. Through the constitution above, Data are transferred from a terminal equipment such as a personal computer on the network to the facsimile equipment 6, which sends the data via a public line network L. Furthermore, the data received by the facsimile equipment 6 via the public line network L are transferred to a terminal equipment on the network from the facsimile equipment 6. |
