The headlamp has a concave reflector 910), a bulb 912) and a lens (20). The light beam is reflected with a given characteristic. Between the reflector and the lens is an additional annular reflector (22) which gives a more strongly horizontal light scattering than from the main reflector. The beam from the additional reflector also has a much smaller range than that from the main reflector. The additional reflector is either joined to the main one or made as a one-piece item with it. It is basically a section of a cylinder whose axis is coincident with that of the main reflector. The lens is flat and has no, or at least only weakly effective, optical elements.
