摘要 The emitter has an electron source (1) to generate a bundle of electrons which are focused along an elongate anode (6). The emitter also has at least one electromagnetic kick magnet (5). By controlling the kick magnets, the electrons are deflected to the elongate anode. The kick magnet coil (13) of the at least magnet is at least partly sunk into a groove (12) of a pole shoe (14) of a kick magnet core (11). The kick magnet preferably has several pole shoes and several grooves along the anode. The pole shoes are preferably cylindrical and may be made up of a stack of thin sheets. Alternatively, they may be made of ferrite material. The grooves may be aligned perpendicular to or at an angle to the anode. The anode may be e.g. curved, ring-shaped or linear.
