<p>The motor vehicle includes a power train with an adjustable fuel-consuming prime mover arranged to transmit a variable torque. An automated torque transmitting system is actuatable to assume engaged and disengaged conditions. The transmission (4) is shiftable into a number of gears. An accelerator pedal (20) is provided for selecting the consumption of fuel by the prime mover. The brake and the accelerator have idle and operated conditions. The system actuator is arranged for engaging the system for the transmission of a predeterminable torque which entails a creeping movement of the vehicle while the prime mover transmits torque, whilst the brake and the accelerator are idle and while the transmission is in gear. The torque transmitted by the prime mover is increased when the system is engaged to induce the creeping movement of the vehicle.</p>
