Splice or junction-box for cable in permafrost regions

A cable splice or junction box including an outer shrinkable envelope for reinforced spliced cable having its transmission elements run inside a central tube. The splice zone of the box is covered over with a finishing spiral. The splices (S) are placed in a protective tube (SR) which is pressure-tight and pull-resistantly located at the ends of the central tube (ZR1,ZR2) of the inserted cable (K1,K2). The outer dia. of the protective tube is less than or equal to the inner dia. of the cable reinforcement, so that the ends of the reinforcement, composed of stranded discrete wires, are twisted over the protective tube, with each second individual wire cut out at the ends of the reinforcement (B1,B2), so that initially gaps are formed in the wire in each reinforcement.
