Two-position drive disconnection unit for differential of motor vehicle

The drive disconnection unit is for a vehicle which has a differential equipped with first and second driven side gearwheels (20,21). These are rotatable around a common transverse axis. There are rotatable first and second driven shafts (24) coaxial with the driven gearwheels. A coupling unit brings the shaft in and out of engagement with the corresponding gearwheels. An actuating unit (40) shifts driven gearwheels (30) between the coupling engagement and disengagement positions.
