<p>DNAs consisting of the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or parts thereof or DNAs containing this base sequence which serve as promoters for swine complement inhibitors. In the construction of transgenic swine having human complement inhibitors and/or thrombus formation inhibiting factors such as thrombomodulin (hereinafter referred to as 'complement inhibitors') integrated thereinto, the human complement inhibitors can be effectively expressed by integrating the above-mentioned DNAs into the upstream of the human complement inhibitors. Accordingly, these DNAs make it possible to prevent hyperacute rejection occurring in the transplantation of swine tissues or organs into human beings, thus achieving the effect of solving the problem of the shortage of donors in the transplantation of organs.</p> |
