<p>The road sign has a base made from a lower square plate (1) surmounted by an upper element (2) of trapezoid section. The ends (3) of the lower plate project with respect to the upper element. The base has a vertical bottomless channel (6) with recesses (7,8) in its opposite walls. Handles (4) and side notches (19) are used for manipulating it. The channel receives the foot (21) of a flexible plastics panel (20) with front and rear reinforcing elements engaging with the recesses. On each side of the foot the panel has wedging heels, and above the foot it has two apertures (22) for handles. The panel and foot are made from an injection-moulded thermo-setting plastics, e.g. polyester. They are cut by laser or water-jet from extruded panels of thermoplastic resin, e.g. polycarbonate.</p> |
