The load for the system, which consists of glass panels on carriers, is carried by walings (4,4') and uprights (1). The walings have bevels depending on the side pitch of the rear sides facing the uprights. The configuration of waling ties (5,6) is adapted to the bevel cross section. The glass carriers have at least one section (21) connected to waling. This section is connected to an upright or a similar carrier section of a waling on the other side of the upright and is resistant to tensile stress. The glass carrier has a section (15,30,40) with a bar extending downwardly or upwardly. The bar is provided with a lateral bore (20) for fixing to an upright.
