Folding frame for pedal cycle

The pedal cycle frame has a front frame section (1) and a coupled rear frame section (2) carrying a rear wheel (5). The connection between the front and rear frame sections is formed by a pivot coupling (6) extending laterally of the frame and a support which allows release of the coupling without tools. There can be a quick-clamping lock (`3) between one of the frame sections and the support. The quick-clamping lock can be captured in either the bicycle frame section or the support. The support can be formed as a spring or damper (7).
