Roller door with functional monitoring of roller shutter

The door (1) has a roller shutter (2) which winds on and off a motor-driven shaft (3) and runs in guide rails (4) between open and closed positions. A controller automatically switches off the drive in the end positions. The controller has a sensor (9) below the open position for detecting whether the shutter is present or absent. Its signal is compared (10) with the output of a transducer (8) generated over the entire range of movement between the end positions. If the signals do not coincide, a switch-off signal is generated.
