Method of operating funicular railway

The method is for operating a funicular railway in two directions using angled guides with suspended upper carrying rollers on a support cable. The cable has an adjustable angular position which can be varied between at least two horizontal directions, with a spaced pressure actuator which can be retracted during the passage of a vehicle. The pressure actuator can be pivoted so that the cable tension remains constant, and then returned to its initial position.
