Motor vehicle antilock braking system with driven-wheel vibration discrimination
摘要
The system includes a tachometer (101) and a vibration detector (102) for each driven wheel, and devices for measuring the transmission torque (103) and any oscillation therein (104). The signals from these units are divided in a decision circuit (105) between detectors of torque fluctuation (106) and road surface irregularity (108). Wheel vibrations of the former kind are suppressed by a controller (107) acting on the hydraulic braking pressure applied to the wheel(s) concerned. Where the vibrations are surface-induced, the corresponding controller (109) either increases the hydraulic pressure or alternatively suppresses any pressure reduction introduced by the antilock system.
