CATHODE RAY TUBE HAVING AN ELECTRON GUN

摘要

Cathode ray tube having an electron gun with a one-piece, one material electrode having an aperture made of two hollows, one in opposing side of the electrode, where material is removed from the electrode without exerting great mechanical forces on the electrodes. Due to this fact the flaws in the aperture such as cracks, ridges etc. are much smaller in size and in number and the amount of mechanical stress around the aperture is much smaller. Such apertures can be made, for instance, by means of spark-erosion or etching.
