The present invention relates to a micro-compressor comprising a body (2) with an internal cylindrical cavity containing a shaft (3) that is fitted with the rotor (4) of an electric motor and with an axial working wheel (5). The micro-compressor also includes ball-bearing type supports (6, 7) with channels for a working medium to flow therethrough, as well as ball bearings (8, 9) and a stator (1) surrounding the body (2). The wheel (5) is mounted between the rotor (4) and one of said ball bearings. The supports (6, 7) comprise apertures in which the axially displaceable shaft (3) is vertically mounted. Ball bearings (8, 9) consist of support-type radial bearings, one of which is mounted on the outer side of support (7) while the other is mounted on the inner side of support (6). The shaft (3) is furthermore fitted with arresters.
