The invention concerns the use of defined mixtures of purified enzymes obtained from Clostridium histolyticum and intended for use in the reproducible, standardised extraction of cells or tissue fragments from human or animal tissues. The invention also concerns the enzymes in question and mixtures thereof, and the direct or indirect medical use of these enzymes, either on their own or as components in mixtures, e.g. for treating wounds.
