A skirting rail for covering an existing rail comprises two parts, a backing plate for attaching to the front face of the existing rail, and a top plate 14 supported on top of the backing plate. The top plates are shaped to receive the edge of carpeting dressed up the backing plate. Vertical rails 15 are employed at ends of the skirting, and all the parts can be of wood or plastics. |
