The invention relates to a process and a device which enable identification of single CD discs with an individual label. The identification means of the label (2) must be individually configured on a PC and printed on a heat-resistant sheet. The printed label (2) can be applied by adhesive to the information-free surface of an information medium (1) using a centring aid (6, 28) with ease and without bubbles. The centring aid (6, 28) according to the invention is therefore an essential component of the present invention.
