The light has a switch (2) and a pivotable light outlet cover (25) which actuates the switch when tilted. The switch has a contact lever (4) pivotable about a rotation axis (3) with an actuation arm (5) extending in one direction from the axis and a contact arm (6) extending in the other direction. The actuation arm has an actuation region (7) at a first distance from the rotation axis. The contact arm has a contact region (8) at a second distance from the rotation axis greater than the first distance. When the actuation arm moves in the actuation region the contact lever is pivoted about the axis and the contact region moved, thus actuating the switch. The light cover has an arm (27) coupled to the actuation region.
