A liquid container, such as a watering can (1) comprises: (a) a polythene housing (2) containing water (15), and fitted with an integral spout (3) and a carrying handle (34), and having a dedicated space for removably receiving by snap fit means (b) a transparent reservoir (4), made from polystyrene, polypropylene, or polycarbonate, having a fill opening (32) and incorporating a pump mechanism for releasing a dose of nutrient fluid into the water, the means consisting of (c) a thumb-operated push button (9) attached to a bellows (11) which controls a one-way valve (13) communicating with the interior of the housing (2), characterised in that (d) the pump mechanism may be configured to fit a spray, and the actuation may take the form of a bellows attached to the reservoir by means of a live hinge. |
