An electric drive to raise and lower a car window comprises endless, toothed belt or chain 4 driven by means 2 and engaging lower gear 23, encased by chain protectors 20,20', and upper gear 31 encased by chain protectors 30, 30'. The two belt runs lie in elastic tubes 5 within elongate cover 6. The belt (Figure 8, not shown) has internal teeth, a flat outer side and a wire cable, between the teeth and outside, to limit belt stretch. |
