PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce texture bronzing and improve coloring sensitivity and conservation stability by containing at least one kind of a resorcinol acid anilide derivative which is expressed by a specified formula and at least one kind of sensitizers made up of specified compounds in a thermal recording layer. SOLUTION: In a thermal recording material made by applying a colorless or light-colored coloring substance and a developer which makes a coloring substance color when subjected to heat to the surface of a supporting body such as paper or plastic a film, a resorcinol acid anilide derivative which is expressed by formula 1, at least one kind of sensitizer made up of a compound which is expressed by formula II and/or III are added to the thermal recording layer. In the formulas, R1 , R2 , and R3 represent independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group such as a hydroxyl group or an alkoxy group, respectively. The resorcinol acid anilide derivative which is expressed by formula 1 is manufactured by making a resorcinol acid phenyl and an aniline derivative, for instance, react with each other. |
